How to find a rishta safely on a free matrimony app

Free matrimony app, safe matrimony app in India: AI-checked photos, approved profiles, no brokers, number privacy, and first-contact advice for families.

How to find a rishta safely online

To find a rishta safely online, use a matrimony app that checks every photo and profile before other members see it, keeps brokers out, and lets your family decide who gets your phone number. Sangam Rishta, the free, AI-powered matrimony app from MJX Technologies, does all three: AI checks every photo, a person on the team approves every profile, and your number can stay private until you accept a request.

It is free in full — no registration fee, no paid membership and no charge to see or share contact details — and it shows no ads. It is for every caste, religion and community in India and for NRI families, and the whole app works in Hindi and English.

An app can only do its part. The rest of this guide covers both: what Sangam Rishta checks for you, and what the family should still check for itself.

How to make a matrimony profile, step by step

Most rishtas are looked for with the family’s help, so a parent, brother, sister, relative or the person themselves can make the profile. One account can hold up to 3 profiles. If you make a profile for a son, daughter or relative, they must be an adult and must have agreed to their profile and photos being shared in the app.

  1. Install Sangam Rishta from the Play Store on an Android phone, and sign up with your mobile number and a password.
  2. Verify your number with the 6-digit code sent on WhatsApp. It is not required, but OTP-verified numbers get a blue badge, and other families can search for verified profiles only.
  3. Create the profile and choose who it is for. Fill in the biodata the way you would on paper: community and gotra, horoscope, education and career, family, and partner expectations.
  4. Choose whether members can see the contact number, or whether it is shared only when you accept an interest. Each family makes this choice for its own profile.
  5. Add up to 3 clear photos of the person. Side poses and full-length photos are fine; group photos are not.
  6. Wait for approval. The profile becomes visible to logged-in members only after the team has approved it and its photos.

How the AI-checked photos and approval work

Every photo passes two AI checks and then a person. On the phone, face detection makes sure the photo shows one clear face before it is uploaded. On the server, a second AI check rejects group photos, pictures that are not a person’s photo — flowers, scenery, logos — and vulgar images. Rejected photos are deleted automatically.

Then a person on the Sangam Rishta team approves every profile and every photo. A new profile starts as waiting for approval and nobody else sees it until it is approved. The checks exist to keep fake profiles out, which is also why visitors who are not logged in never see numbers or photos.

When someone shares a profile on WhatsApp, the message carries a short summary and the Profile ID. The full profile and its photos open only inside the app, after login.

Is it safe to share your phone number on a matrimony app?

On Sangam Rishta it is your choice, made per profile. Each profile has a “Show my number” setting. If you turn it on, members can call or WhatsApp you straight from the profile. If you leave it off, your number can stay private until you accept a request: it is shared only with families whose interest you accept, and then both sides see each other’s number.

If you are making the profile for a son or daughter, you can leave it off, read the other family’s profile first, and accept only the interests worth a phone call. Searching and sending interests work the same either way.

The app itself asks the phone for one permission only: notifications. It does not collect your location, contacts, call logs, SMS or advertising ID, and your data is never sold or used for advertising.

How to avoid brokers and fake profiles

Sangam Rishta is built so that families talk to each other directly. One account can hold at most 3 profiles, and when more than 3 imported profiles carry the same contact number, they are hidden as an agent number. Using the app as a broker or for paid match-making is against its terms.

You can do your part too. Prefer verified profiles, and use the verified-only filter when you search. Check education and job details with the family itself. Be careful with anyone who will not let the families speak, who hurries you, or who brings up money.

If a profile looks fake, carries wrong information or asks for money, report it from the profile. Three reports from different members hide it until an admin reviews it. You can also block a profile.

What to do on first contact

Find matches with the search filters, or swipe through the For You tab, which suggests profiles from your partner preferences. When one looks right, take it slowly.

  1. Read the full profile together as a family before anyone reaches out.
  2. Send an interest from your approved profile, or, if the family shows its number, call or WhatsApp them from the profile; WhatsApp opens with a ready message mentioning the Profile ID.
  3. When an interest is accepted, both families get a notification and see each other’s number. Make the first call family to family.
  4. Talk on the phone more than once, and confirm education and job details with the family before you decide anything.
  5. Meet the family in person, at home or in a public place, with your own family involved.
  6. Never send money, gifts or documents to someone you have not met, and report anyone who asks for money.
  7. When the marriage is fixed, pause or delete the profile from My profiles.

A matrimony app is safe when a person checks every profile before anyone sees it, brokers cannot list in bulk, and each family decides who gets its number. Sangam Rishta does those things free; talking on the phone, meeting with family and never sending money stay with you.
