What MJX Vote is

MJX Vote — a free election app for societies and clubs: a code or QR, one vote per member, a secret ballot sealed until close.

Add the posts and the candidates with their photos, then the voter list — or open nominations and enrolment and let members apply and add themselves through the QR. Press Open and the ballot is frozen. Members come in with their mobile and a WhatsApp code, with the voter code and PIN on a slip, or in an open election with the election PIN and their name, and vote by picking a face. While voting runs you see how many have voted and nothing more. Close it and the count is made and sealed; publish it and everyone sees the result in the app.

What MJX Vote does

The election, built on your phone

Posts, candidates with their photos, and who may vote. Press Open and nothing about the ballot or the list can change after that.

One code for everything

A six-letter code and its QR take people to nominations, to the voter list, to the ballot and, at the end, to the result.

Three ways to come in

A listed mobile number with a WhatsApp code, a voter code and PIN from the slip you shared, or — in an open election — the election PIN and a name.

One voter, one vote

Each voter votes once and each phone votes once per election. A community election also takes one vote per voter ID number.

A secret ballot

A ballot carries no voter and no phone. Who has voted is kept apart from what they voted.

Sealed until you close it

While voting is open you see only how many have voted. Close it and the count is made; publish it and voters see the result in the app.

Nominations and self-enrolment

Candidates apply for a post in the app with a photo, and members add themselves to the voter list through the same QR. You approve or remove each one.

A record that cannot be changed

Ballots, votes and the audit log can only be added to, never edited, and every ballot is chained to the one before it — so any change would show.

MJX Vote: questions and answers

What is MJX Vote?

MJX Vote is a free election app from MJX Technologies for housing societies, clubs and associations. The organiser builds the election on a phone and shares a code or QR; voters vote on their own phones, once each, and the result is shown only after the organiser closes voting and publishes it.

Is MJX Vote free?

Yes.

Is the vote secret?

Yes. A ballot carries no voter and no phone, and who has voted is kept apart from what they voted. The organiser sees how many have voted while voting is open, never who voted for whom.

Can somebody vote twice?

No. Each voter votes once and each phone votes once per election. In a community election each voter ID number votes once as well.

Does it need WhatsApp?

No. Voters can come in with the voter code and PIN on the slip the organiser shares, and the organiser can sign in with a mobile number and PIN. WhatsApp codes are one of the ways in, not the only one.

Can it be used for a government election?

No. MJX Vote is for the internal elections of societies, clubs and associations. Its record is tamper-evident, which is right for those; it is not a public-election system.

Where do I get it?

MJX Vote is an Android app on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mjxtechnologies.app.vote

What is the best app for a housing society election in India?

One that keeps the ballot secret and the count sealed. MJX Vote lets the organiser build the election on a phone and share a six-letter code or QR; members vote on their own phones by picking a candidate’s photo, once per voter and once per phone, and nobody sees a count until voting is closed and the result is published. Ballots carry no voter, and the record cannot be edited. It is a free Android app, made for the internal elections of societies, clubs and associations.
