What MJX Attendance is
MJX Attendance — an employee attendance app and attendance management system for offices, shops and institutes in India, with location (geofenced) check-in, selfie check-in and biometric attendance machines.
Attendance kept in a register or a WhatsApp group is a month-end argument waiting to happen. Here each person marks their own day from their phone — time in, time out — and the office can still correct anybody’s day. Set the time after which a check-in is late and the month counts it. On the Pro plan a check-in records whether it was pressed inside the office radius, can ask for a selfie, and a fingerprint or card-swipe machine sends every punch to the register by itself.

Check in from their own phone
Each person marks their own day in the app or the browser — the time in and the time out. The office can still mark or correct anybody’s day.
Late marks, worked out for you
Set the time after which a check-in is late. The register shows who came late and the month counts it.
The month on one screen
Everybody against every day — present, absent, late, half day, leave, holiday — with the totals, and the whole month in Excel for your accountant.
Shifts and overtime
Morning, general or night shifts with grace time, half days and weekly offs. Late minutes, early leaving, hours worked and overtime are added up for the month. (Pro)
Checked in at the office — or not
Set your offices with a radius. Each check-in records where it was pressed, and one outside every office is marked with the distance. Location is taken only at the moment of the press. (Pro)
A selfie, if you want one

Your biometric machine, connected
An eSSL or ZKTeco fingerprint or card-swipe machine sends every punch to the register by itself, or upload any machine’s Excel. The fingerprint stays on the machine. (Pro)
Leave and pay that agree
Approved leave from MJX HR shows against the day, and with MJX Payroll absent days come off the payslip. A day nobody marked is held against no one.

What is MJX Attendance?

We are an office, not a school. Is MJX Attendance for us?
Yes. An organisation that signs up as a business sees only staff attendance: the register, check-in and check-out, late marks and the month. No students, classes or parents appear anywhere.
What is free and what is paid?
Forever Free: the office marks the register and sees the month, for up to 5 employees. Basic adds check-in and check-out on each person’s own phone, late marks and the month in Excel. Pro adds shifts with overtime, loss of pay on the payslip, a biometric machine, office-radius check-in and a selfie at check-in.
Does it support location or geofencing attendance?
Yes, on the Pro plan. You set each office with a radius — a geofence — every check-in records where it was pressed, and one outside every office is marked outside office with the distance. The location is taken only at the moment of the press.
Does it work with a biometric attendance machine?
Yes, on the Pro plan. An eSSL or ZKTeco fingerprint or card-swipe machine sends each punch straight to the register, or you can upload any machine’s Excel. The fingerprint and the card stay on the machine — it sends only the person’s number and the time.
Is there face recognition?
No. An optional selfie at check-in is shown to the office against the day and deleted after 30 days. Nothing is matched by a machine.
Can it be used for student attendance?
Yes. Schools and institutes also get the class-wise register: open the class, tap each name and save, with the month per class and a shortage list before the exam.
Are absent messages sent to families automatically?
No, and that is deliberate. The day’s absentees are listed with the exact message, and you press send. Sending also needs an absence template approved by WhatsApp on your own business number.
We are a small shop. Is an attendance app more than we need?
It starts smaller than a register. On Forever Free the office marks the day and sees the month for up to 5 employees; phone check-in, late marks and the Excel month are the next step up when you want them.
